Our Father’s Table Soup kitchen started providing meals to homebound clients in the Gifford area in 1988. Back then, the organization only delivered to 35 clients three days per week. In 2013, we moved up to five days a week and today, 80 clients receive a freshly prepared meal delivered each weekday between 10:00 am and noon.
On holidays, the organization does provide a delivery service. We have volunteers who prepare these meals and volunteers who deliver meals to our clients each day.
The Community Church of Vero Beach has graciously donated a van to enable us to deliver these meals quickly and efficiently. Each of our delivery clients receives the same meal prepared in the soup kitchen consisting of salad, chicken, fish, or a meat entrée with rice, pasta or potato, vegetables, and dessert.
If you or someone you know would like to participate in our delivery program please contact us for more information.
